PorchLoom Subscription, Payment and Cancellation Terms
Effective date: October 21, 2026
These Subscription Terms are part of your agreement with PorchLoom (“PorchLoom,” “we,” “us”), a web services business based in Blackstone, Massachusetts. They work together with the PorchLoom Client Service Agreement and our Privacy Policy. Questions: [email protected].
Key terms at a glance
- What you pay for: a monthly fee for website hosting, maintenance, and support services. Your price is shown in your order email before you accept.
- Optional setup services (for example, Google Business Profile or Facebook page setup) are billed separately at the price shown in your order email.
- Taxes: prices do not include any applicable taxes; you are responsible for any sales or use tax that applies.
- Billing: your first charge is on the day you accept, and then on the same day each month.
- This plan renews automatically every month, and you will be charged until you cancel.
- How to cancel: email [email protected] with “CANCEL,” or reply “CANCEL” to any billing email. You can cancel any time. There is no cancellation fee.
- After you cancel: your website stays live until the end of the month you paid for, then goes offline. You can ask for an export of your content.
1. The subscription
1.1 Your subscription starts when you accept these terms and give us a valid payment method. Free website previews cost nothing, and nothing is charged until you accept.
1.2 The subscription is month-to-month and renews automatically each month on your billing date until you or PorchLoom cancels. There is no minimum term.
1.3 What the monthly fee is for. The monthly fee pays for PorchLoom’s website hosting, maintenance, and support services: hosting your website, keeping it live at your domain, technical and security updates, small content changes, and troubleshooting, as described in the Client Service Agreement. The monthly fee is not a fee for a software license or for access to software.
1.4 Optional site editor. If PorchLoom offers you a login to a site editor so you can change your website yourself, it is optional and is priced and invoiced as a separate line item. Declining it does not change the monthly fee or the services it covers.
2. Autopay authorization
2.1 By accepting (by replying “I AGREE” by email or by clicking to accept), you authorize PorchLoom and its payment processor to charge the payment method you provide the monthly fee shown in your order email, each month on your billing date, plus any optional services you order and any applicable taxes, until you cancel.
2.2 You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method. You can update it at any time by emailing [email protected]. PorchLoom does not store full card or bank account numbers; our payment processor does.
2.3 We will email a receipt for every charge.
2.4 You may revoke this authorization at any time by cancelling (Section 5).
3. Failed payments
If a charge fails, we will email you and may retry the charge. PorchLoom does not charge late fees.
4. Suspension for non-payment
4.1 If a payment stays unpaid, we will email you a suspension warning before suspending your website.
4.2 If it is still unpaid after the warning, we may suspend your website (take it offline or show a “temporarily unavailable” page). We keep your content during a suspension.
4.3 To restore your website, pay the overdue amount. We will restore it promptly after payment.
4.4 If the account stays unpaid after suspension, we may cancel the subscription after email notice and handle your website and content as described in Section 6.
5. Cancellation by email, any time
5.1 How to cancel. You may cancel at any time by:
- emailing [email protected] from the email address on your account with the word “CANCEL” (any clear request to cancel works); or
- replying “CANCEL” to any PorchLoom billing or renewal email.
If you signed up online, you may also cancel online through the same website. You do not have to give a reason, call anyone, or talk to a salesperson.
5.2 Confirmation. We will email a cancellation confirmation within 1 business day. Cancellation stops all future recurring charges right away. If you do not get a confirmation, please email us again.
5.3 When it takes effect. Your website stays live until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and then the subscription ends.
5.4 Cancellation by PorchLoom. PorchLoom may cancel your subscription for any reason with 30 days’ email notice, or sooner as described in the Client Service Agreement (for example, serious breach). If PorchLoom cancels without cause, we will refund any prepaid fees for the period after cancellation.
6. What happens to your website and content after cancellation
6.1 Website goes offline. When the subscription ends, PorchLoom will take your website offline. If you are moving your website, update your domain’s DNS to point to your new host.
6.2 Your domain. Your domain always stays yours. We will remove any registrar access you gave us.
6.3 Content export. For 30 days after the subscription ends, you may request, by email and free of charge, an export of the content you gave us (your text, images, logo, and other files) in a common format, delivered by download link.
Plus plan customer contact lists. Plus plan emails are sent only from your own verified domain, never from a PorchLoom domain, and contain no PorchLoom links or branding. If you had the Plus plan, we will also offer you, by email when the subscription ends, a free export of your customer contact list (names, email addresses, consent and opt-out records) and a copy of your unsubscribe list. You may request this export at any time during the 90 days after the subscription ends.
6.4 Website design and code. Whether you receive the website design and code depends on the ownership terms in your Client Service Agreement.
6.5 Add-on accounts. Your Google Business Profile and Facebook page belong to you. We will remove PorchLoom’s manager access on request or after cancellation.
6.6 Deletion and retention. After the export window, PorchLoom deletes your website and content from its active systems. Backup copies are overwritten within 30 days after deletion.
- Plus plan customer contact lists: securely deleted 90 days after cancellation, erased so they cannot practicably be read or reconstructed. Backup copies are overwritten within 30 days after deletion.
- Unsubscribe list: kept indefinitely so your customers’ opt-outs keep being honored. It is limited to the minimum fields (email address, opt-out date, your account ID, and opt-out scope), is used only to prevent unwanted emails, and is never sold, rented, or shared with other clients.
- Compliance records for Plus plan email: consent records, campaign approvals, and send records are kept 6 years after the contact list is deleted, so we can show that emails were sent with consent and that opt-outs were honored. They are limited to minimal fields (email address, your account ID, message type, consent method and form version, timestamps, IP address and browser information for online opt-ins, opt-out events, approval details, and send details). They contain no names, appointment details, or message merge data, and are used only for compliance and legal defense.
- Billing records: kept 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
7. Refunds
7.1 Fees are charged monthly in advance and are not refunded for partial months, except as required by law or as stated in Section 5.4.
7.2 One-time setup fees are refundable if you cancel the setup before work starts.
7.3 Billing errors. If we charge you by mistake, we will refund the error promptly once confirmed. Please email [email protected] about any charge you think is wrong. Nothing here limits any right you have with your card issuer or bank.
8. Taxes
Prices do not include any applicable taxes; you are responsible for any sales or use tax that applies.
9. Price changes with notice
9.1 PorchLoom may change the monthly price or add-on prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription, stating the old price, the new price, the date it takes effect, and how to cancel.
9.2 A price increase will apply to your subscription only if you agree to it by email reply or by clicking to accept. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the effective date with no fee.
9.3 A price change will not apply to a billing period you have already paid for.
10. Questions about charges
If you think a charge is wrong, email [email protected]. We will look into it and reply promptly.
